Cherry Hill completes UI HQ


Looking at The United Illuminating Co.'s newly opened headquarters on Marsh Hill Road Thursday morning, it was hard to imagine how spending millions of dollars on a new corporate home could ultimately save the utility money. But during a simple ceremony celebrating the opening of the 125,000-square-foot building, which already has 200 employees in it, that's exactly what executives of UI's corporate parent said will happen. The headquarters and an adjacent operations center, which UI employees will begin moving into in June, will save the company millions over its lifetime because of the energy saving enhancements in the building's construction methods. read more!

BJ Wholesale turns to Cherry Hill


BJ's Wholesale Club has turned to Cherry Hill Construction of North Branford to prepare the site of their new wholesale club location in Brookfield. Site preparation included demolishing a 60's vintage strip mall near the Brookfield Kohls, as well as tree removal, land clearing, onsite crushing, and more.

Rocky Hill Issues Demolition Permit For Foundry Site


ROCKY HILL -- A permit has been issued by the town to begin demolition of the blighted ruins on the Connecticut Foundry property. The property consists of three separate parcels containing four abandoned structures, a rusting water tower and three concrete silos, all of which will be removed. Permit documents identify the demolition contractor as Cherry Hill Construction of North Branford. read more!

Cherry Hill and Marcus Dairy


Cherry Hill Construction has been preparing the ground for the newest addition to the Danbury Fair Mall area. The North Branford company has been clearing away the old Marcus Dairy site, visible to all visitors to the Danbury Mall to make way for a new Whole Foods store. Part of the requirement, which posed a unique set of structural issues in the site clearing and demolition, was the old Marcus Dairy silo, which is a familiar landmark, had to remain.

Cherry Hill at Fairfield U


Cherry Hill Construction of North Branford,CT is in the midst of a project at prestigious Fairfield University to widen some of the main roads on the campus. In addition to making the roads more accessible to increased traffic flow for both students and emergency vehicles, Cherry Hill's work will let the University upgrade the infrastructure below ground level.
